Dying to Know Day 8/8/2023
Creating time and space to have conversations on planning ahead for end-of-life matters
This event was hosted in support of Dying to Know Day to raise awareness of the importance of ‘getting dead set’. This was a special but important event where over 50 people attended with great interest. It was pleasing to see that participants could openly talk about death and dying, actively participating in discussions. Games provided a light hearted way to help participants talk about wills, ACP and living wills. The highlight of the day was for everyone to share their knowledge and experiences, giving people an opportunity to think about their own circumstances. It was wonderful to see all four leaders, despite their old age, leading such sensitive discussions with confidence. The event was well received by participants and feedback was positive. We hope that everyone found the day informative and look forward to continuing discussions on this topic.
