11th Chronic Illness Awareness Day

Chinese Cancer and Chronic Illness Society of Victoria (CCCIS) hosted its 11th annual Chronic Illness Awareness Day at the Hawthorn Library on Saturday, October 26th, 2024. Elder Abuse Awareness Day

CCCIS hosted 2 Elder Abuse Awareness Sessions in June 2024 to raise awareness within the Chinese community on elder abuse and encourage seniors to seek help if they experience abusive situations. Often, due to language barriers and cultural backgrounds, many victims prefer to remain silent and tolerate their abuse.
