The impact of the Society is evident in the stories told in these pages by members and clients who have been affected by illness, including cancer.”

“… During your 25 years you’ve been a Cancer Council Victoria accredited support group, creating a welcoming and supportive space for people to share their experiences.  Our support and prevention teams have had a longstanding relationship with the Society, working together to assist in education around screening, and in supporting the community through translated materials. …”

Dorothy Yiu, Founder and Chairperson of the Society thanked Mr Harper for his attendance and launching the Publication.

“… We are very excited about this book. Through the individual stories of this publication, we give admiration to the strength and stamina that people living with cancer have gone through in their battle against a debilitating illness. …” Dorothy said.

The official launch was followed by Mandy Lee, chief editor of the Publication, who talked about the challenges and achievements she has experienced throughout the editing process.
